Perennial is a Chicago-based commercial real estate investment and advisory business founded in 2004. The company’s principals previously held senior level positions within some of the largest institutional US investment firms, including Equity Office, Trizec, Guggenheim Capital and LaSalle.

Jeffrey D. Echt
For the past 25 years Jeff has been active as an executive and as a principal in the institutional commercial real estate market.
Through Perennial Investments and Advisors, LLC, a firm Jeff founded in 2004, Jeff and his partners have invested in various real estate investments with an aggregate value exceeding $900 million.
Prior to forming Perennial, Jeff served in various acquisition and finance roles at Equity Office Properties (formerly EOP:NYSE) and Trizec Properties, Inc. (formerly TRZ:NYSE). While performing the functions of CFO and Treasurer at TRZ, Jeff oversaw a focused team that sourced, negotiated and closed over $7 billion of capital transactions. As a senior financial executive, Jeff coordinated and played an active role in various financial-related matters, including financial accounting, budgeting, SEC compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, managing exposure to interest rate risk, risk management and select tax matters.
Jeff earned his BS in Business-Accounting and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University (Cum Laude).

Andrew R. Gitelson
Andy spent 10 years prior to Perennial as a Partner within the Real Estate Equity Investment group at Guggenheim Partners. During his tenure, the firm’s flagship open-ended fund grew from $50 million to over $3 billion of client capital. Andy had responsibility for both new investments and portfolio management within the fund’s direct property investment program. He participated in the acquisition, asset management and disposition of almost $2.2 billion in assets, with a focus on the office and retail sectors.
Prior to Guggenheim, Andy was a Vice President within the Capital Markets group of LaSalle Partners (later Jones Lang LaSalle) where he focused on raising private equity for real estate operating companies, joint ventures, large asset portfolios and development projects.
Andy earned a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
